As it was in 1933, Blarney Castle Oil and Propane is a Michigan-based, family-owned business. With more than 95 EZ Mart convenience store locations, propane and fuel oil service, commercial fuel and bulk lubricant sales, our primary goal is satisfying our customers.
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of actual or comparable experience as a Convenience Store Clerk. Must possess basic math skills and the aptitude to learn all required job duties. Must be able to figure correct change during transactions. Must be able to reconcile funds in cash drawer (s) against tapes, balance store receipts, prepare deposit slips, and make bank deposits.
A high school diploma or GED required.
Requires physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds; and moving and stacking merchandize; cleaning; sweeping; shoveling snow; and being able to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
In addition to performing all job responsibilities assigned to a Customer Service Associate, a Senior Customer Service Associate assists the store Manager by overseeing the store operation in the Manager's absence. This includes assigning work to others when in charge, making daily bank deposits, ensuring that excellent customer service standards are maintained, informing the Manager of all positive or negative events that occur in his / her absence, advising the Manager of commendations or reprimands needed with regard to the performance of individual staff members. Leads other staff members by promoting a strong work ethic and high level of performance. Performs other duties, not normally performed by Customer Service Associates, assigned by the Manager.
